Halloween is right around the corner. If you're looking to get in the spirit, we've got an ultimate fright experience for you.
Downtown Stamford is getting a scare at the Stamford Town Center. It's called Blood Manor - New York City's premier haunted house attraction.
"It's very cathartic to scare other people when I am scared 90% of my days," says Blood Manor actress Jenny Maso.
The actors really get into character.
"It's kind of the best job ever. I mean you get to come in, put on a new face every single night, and then just getting to scare people for a paycheck. It's kind of a dream come true," says Blood Manor actress Nikki Neurohr.
"There's just something fun about dressing up and getting to do, I don't know, something that isn't you," says Blood Manor actor Gabe DeRose.
Blood Manor is a 10,000-square-foot haunted experience with a labyrinth of themed rooms and eerie corridors meticulously crafted to exploit your darkest fears.
"It's hardcore makeup, it's 3-D effects, it's utilizing animatronics in ways you just can't conceptualize," says Maso.
"I think people are just, for a lack of better words, just dying to be scared right now," says Neurohr.
Blood Manor started earlier this month and has been running on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights between 6 and 10 p.m. Tickets start at $34.
