Bear briefly escapes from enclosure at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange A black bear escaped from its enclosure at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange on Thursday. Zoo officials say the bear walked through an unlocked gate in an area that isn't accessible to the public. Zoo staff found the bear a few minutes later and put it back in its enclosure before the zoo opened for the day. No humans or bears were injured.
