A North Amityville man is facing charges for after police say he stabbed a Copiague man multiple times early Sunday morning.

Police say Joshua Deluna got into an altercation on Madison Avenue around 6:25 a.m. That's when police say Deluna started stabbing the 43-year-old man multiple times.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Deluna, 32, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Islip on Monday.
