NEW & NEXT: A really dry Saturday is on the way. The air will have a bitter feel to it with temperatures once again in the 30s, some of this cold air will linger into Sunday. Warmer air aloft will move into the area and bring some clouds. Temperatures will gradually warm up through the day and some of the warmest air will move in for Monday and Tuesday. A weak weather system will bring some rain for early next week, but if those showers move in faster, they could start off as some wintry mix or ice before going over to all rain later Monday and Tuesday.
NIGHT SKY: The Geminid meteor shower may be visible in our sky through the weekend. The sky will be clear tonight, but the moon is bright and up all night. The moon will be full on Sunday morning and it's a waxing gibbous right now. This could drown out some of the dimmer meteors. Gemini rises higher in the sky after 9pm in the East, so any time after that is good for viewing. Layer up and bundle up, it will be a cold night.
