        Radio legend Van Ritshie, iconic voice of Metro-North and Long Island Rail Road announcements, passed away last Sunday at a Poughkeepsie hospice center.
        Ritshie, 80, recorded the distinctive train station announcements in 1995, which remain in use today.
        A Hudson Valley radio host and voiceover artist, Ritshie leaves behind his wife, three children and four grandchildren.
