The Greenwood Lake wildfire continues to impact the area, with road closures in effect due to ongoing burnout operations.
East Shore Road is completely closed from 32 Edgemere Ave. to the entrance of Forest Knolls for the foreseeable future.
The burnout operations, starting around 10 a.m. today, will affect the terrain from 32 Edgemere Avenue to Wah Ta Wah Park and heading east toward Blue Lake.
A large fire line made of black dirt has been established from 32 Edgemere wrapping eastward past Wah Ta Wah Park, with over two miles of water lines running from East Shore Road to Blue Lake across the park.
Residents traveling to or from home and essential travel will be accommodated through Awosting Road, thanks to coordination between the State of New Jersey and local authorities.
