Twenty endangered Kemp’s Ridley Sea turtles that have washed ashore in the northeast are being held at the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society.
They are “cold-stunned” due to the sudden drop in temperatures.
As the water gets colder, chief scientist Rob DiGiovanni says the turtles eat less and slow down significantly.
If they are not rescued, there is little chance they can survive.
