Police say they received a 911 call on Tuesday that a male had displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the caller in the area of 458 Westport Ave.
Officers say they located an individual matching the caller's description.
They say they saw 21-year-old Isaiah Mitchell removing a handgun from his waistband and passing it into the passenger side of a nearby vehicle.
Police say during the investigation Mitchell also entered the T-Mobile store where he caused a disturbance, prior to threatening the original 911 caller.
Mitchell is facing charges including carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a large capacity magazine and carrying a firearm while under the influence.
His bond was set at $500,000 and is due in court next month.
