A student at Fieldstone Middle School has been arrested in Stony Point following a monthslong sextortion investigation.

The investigation began after victims reported they were being coerced online, Stony Point police said.

Approximately six victims have come forward. Investigators believe there could be several hundred more who have not yet reported their experiences.

The juvenile faces charges of use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Police and the North Rockland Central School District will soon announce details about an open forum and presentation at Fieldstone Middle School. The district will also provide resources on sextortion awareness.
