The NYPD is asking for the public's help identifying eight people wanted in connection with a robbery and shooting that left four people wounded in Eastchester on Aug. 23.

Police say the incident occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. near 1641 E. 233rd St. when a group of unidentified individuals approached another group and forcibly removed property from them.

During the robbery, two members of the group allegedly displayed and fired handguns, striking four victims.

The victims, identified as two men and two women, were transported by private means to local hospitals in stable condition.

The shooting occurred during the same chaotic early-morning incident that left 18-year-old Werling Mendez dead.

The suspects sped off in three vehicles, traveling westbound on East 233rd Street.

Police sources told News 12 that the violence erupted during a car meetup.

Authorities have not announced any arrests in Mendez's killing and have not released a description of the shooter.
