A hit-and-run crash Saturday in Freeport left a 76-year-old man in critical condition, according to police.

Authorities say the victim was struck while crossing at the intersection of North Grove Street and Brooklyn Avenue around 2 p.m.

The vehicle is described as a light-colored sedan.
