A man has died of his injuries after an assault in Bushwick early Friday morning.  

Police responded to a call of an assault at 152 Grattan St. Just before 3:50 a.m. 

 When police arrived, they found a 42-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive.  

The man was transported in critical condition to Elmhurst Hospital where he died of his injuries.  

Police sources say they are searching for a male who fled to location on foot.  

There are no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
