Two people suffered graze wounds during an early morning shooting in Bridgeport, police say.

Investigators say a crowd was gathered outside of a building when gunfire erupted. It happened just after midnight on the 450 block of Trumbull Avenue.

A 53-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the back and a bullet pierced his car, according to police.

Authorities say the second victim, a 39-year-old woman, was grazed by a bullet in the face.

Both Bridgeport residents were not seriously hurt and declined transport to the hospital, according to police.

Investigators say multiple shell casings were recovered in the rear parking lot at 455 Trumbull Avenue.

Information about what sparked the shooting - or who may have pulled the trigger - was not immediately available.

The Detective Bureau's Shooting Task Force is handling the case.

No arrests have been made as of Saturday evening.
