The New Jersey Department of Transportation says two eastbound lanes of the I-80 are expected to reopen sometime tonight following months of sinkhole related repairs.
However, today's expected rain may force that schedule to adjust a bit.
The DOT says paving was completed this morning.

Once the asphalt cools and hardens the road needs to be striped and concrete barriers installed, then the lanes will reopen.
Two westbound lanes are expected to reopen by the end of next week.
A full reopening is expected next month.
