A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg Wednesday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a 911 call at 1:37 p.m. for a person stabbed outside 1581 Fulton Ave.

When officers arrived, they found the boy with a stab wound to his left leg. Officials say the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with a man. They say it was that man who stabbed the teen.

EMS transported the boy to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

The man police are looking for is described as a dark-skinned man in his 40s wearing all black. He drove off in a white SUV in an unknown direction.

It is unclear what led up to the dispute between the boy and the man.
