Police have arrested a 42-year-old man for a deadly shooting in Hunts Point earlier this week.
The shooting happened in front of 1275 Lafayette Avenue just before 8 p.m. on Sunday.
When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Luis Cano with a gunshot wound to his chest.
He was transported to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.
Police have now arrested 42-year-old Jonathan Velasquez. He is facing charges for murder, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
