A two-alarm fire damaged a commercial building on a busy Bronx corridor Tuesday night and sent one person to the hospital.
The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. at 4 W. 183rd St., between Jerome and Davidson avenues.
Video from the scene showed significant damage to the building along the commercial strip near the 183rd Street 4 train station.
The FDNY says the blaze occurred in a one-story building and was upgraded to a second alarm.
A total of 46 units and 141 FDNY and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
One civilian was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in serious but stable condition, according to the FDNY.
Traffic signals in the area were operating Wednesday morning as crews continued work at the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
