Ten people from two families were displaced after a fire ripped through a multifamily home in Paterson Sunday night.
The fire broke out on East 31st Street, just off Park Avenue.
Flames heavily damaged the interior of the home, leaving residents unable to return.
By Monday morning, workers were already boarding up damaged windows with plywood.
The American Red Cross says it is helping the displaced families with temporary shelter, food, clothing and other necessities.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
