A Yonkers man has been ruled incompetent to stand trial in the murder of his 70-year-old father, Jose Velasco.
The
incident occurred in August 2023
at their home on Scarsdale Road. August Velasco, 48, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
A recent hearing determined that Velasco would remain at a psychiatric facility, with another hearing scheduled in two years.
