It was a day of family fun in Yonkers at the city's annual Youth Fest on Saturday.
Families flocked to this year's third annual celebration at Fleming Field.
The event featured vendors, live music and entertainment, and there was also plenty of art on display.
Organizers said the main purpose of the day was to showcase the work of the city's Youth Bureau.
"This is our annual youth press event to showcase all the stuff that we do and all the partners we work with, with our programs and help kids use the skills, workforce readiness skills, self-esteem," explained Jennifer Villa, director of Yonkers Youth Bureau. "We help them connect to each other at a time when connections going to be difficult for them."
Bureau leaders said the event also helps connect families with essential services from partner organizations.
