Thousands of people lined South Broadway on Sunday for the 48th Annual Puerto Rican/Hispanic Day Parade in Yonkers.
The event featured colorful costumes, music, dancing and cultural pride as families, friends and visitors gathered to celebrate Hispanic heritage and community.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano called it one of the city's biggest parades yet, noting that the event continues to grow every year. Attendees said the parade is about more than just a celebration — it's an opportunity to honor their culture, connect with family and show pride in their roots.
Many who attended described the day as a reminder of the strength, resilience and unity of the Hispanic community.
