Police are looking for the person who assaulted an elderly woman near Brighton Beach back in September. Officials say 71-year-old woman was sitting on a bench on Brighton Beach Avenue when another woman approached her and engaged in a conversation on Sept. 17. When the victim asked the woman to stop smoking, an argument ensued. That's when the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face before taking off. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police.
