A former Connecticut official who fled to Greece to avoid prison is due back in court today for sentencing.
A federal judge has said the sentencing of Kosta Diamantis will move forward whether he appears in court or not.
Diamantis skipped his original sentencing date earlier this month after leaving the country.
The former budget deputy was convicted on bribery and extortion charges.
The judge also said Diamantis' separate bribery trial remains scheduled for December.
