Due to the weather, the city's sanitation department suggests that drivers stay off the road until noon today.
While AAA is anticipating an additional 3 million travelers this holiday season.
AAA says 90% of travelers nationwide will be hitting the roads for the holiday.
With the increase of drivers, they want to remind people to practice safe driving, that's includes:
- Following the speed limit
- Moving over and slowing down for emergency responders
- Drive alert, refreshed and sober
Tomorrow is expected to be the worst day to make it home for the holidays. The holiday runs until Jan. 1.
