NOW: Another Fire Weather Warning has been issued for Friday. The gusty, dry winds will be back, and with no rain and dry conditions, fires that do develop will spread rapidly. Connecticut is in a severe drought now, according to drought monitors.
NEXT: Temperatures will gradually warm up more going into the weekend. High temperatures will peak in the lower 60s. It's back to the 50s next week and right now there could be some rain showers towards the end of next week.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Sara has formed near Central America. Heavy rainfall is forecast for Honduras with catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides this weekend. Latest forecast guidance brings the storm into Mexico and the Bay of Campeche by early next week. Will monitor for the potential to emerge over the Gulf of Mexico next week.
