        Warmup heading into the weekend across LI with Fire Weather Watch on Saturday

        Clouds give way to sunshine by Friday afternoon with temperatures on the rise into the weekend.

        HEADLINES: Weekend warmup
        A coastal flood advisory is in effect overnight with tides running one foot above normal. Minor flooding is expected in any low-lying vulnerable areas right near the water.
        Clouds give way to sunshine by Friday afternoon with temperatures on the rise into the weekend.
        Saturday will be dry and breezy with a fire weather watch. Highs will be near 60 degrees.
        Sunday will be the better weekend day with less wind and pleasant conditions.
        Dry weather continues into next week while parts of Long Island are now in a severe drought. We could be looking at our next chance for wet weather later next week.
        FORECAST:
        OVERNIGHT: Cloudy and cold with lows near 33 degrees. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 6:40 a.m
        FRIDAY: Morning clouds to afternoon sun. Not as cold with highs near 56 degrees. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Sunset: 4:34 p.m Lows near 38 degrees with northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
        SATURDAY: Fire Weather Watch. Breezy with sun and clouds. Highs near 62 degrees. Lows near 40 degrees.
        SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and mild. Highs near 62 degrees. Lows near 44 degrees.
        MONDAY: Sun and clouds. Mild with highs near 64 degrees. Lows near 43 degrees.
        TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and nice. Highs near 60 degrees. Lows near 42 degrees.
