Voters chose longtime Democratic city councilman Justin Brash to become the next mayor of White Plains. This is the first time in 14 years there will be a new mayor in City Hall.
Brasch declared victory over Republican candidate Lenny Lolis who worked for the city for more than two decades.
With 68 percent of the districts reporting, Brasch leads with 68 percent of the vote, to Lolis' 32 percent. During a victory party last night, Brasch promised a crowd of supporters to continue moving White Plains in a positive direction by expanding affordable housing, adding green space and he says his dream is to create a new intergenerational community center focusing on kids and seniors.

Brasch told the crowd,
"I'm looking forward to serve our city, to working with all of you to make our city better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Lenny Lolis told News12 he has no comment at this time.
Meanwhile Tom Roach who has served as mayor since 2011, stepped down to run for Westchester County Clerk. He won the position by 66 percent of the vote.
He will replace retiring County Clerk Tim Idoni who has served in the position for the past 20 years.
