Right. Meteorologist Matt Hammer is living it up, no doubt about it. He is joining us this morning with weather on the road in Peaks Skill previewing tomorrow's Nashville Music Festival. Who do you got that? I love a, a handful of things in life, weather, country, music, friends and family. And this guy right here is pretty nice too. This is John Sharp, co owner of the here at River Outpost Brewing and thanks so much for being with us this morning. Thank you for being here. Talk to me a little bit about what makes this event. Nashville 2024. So exciting. Of course, Nashville, Nash Skill is our homage to Nashville. So, you know, it is country, but you know, as Nashville is such a great music scene that has rock n roll, Blue Grass, you know, buried music scene. That's what we got for you to all kinds from rock n roll, blue grass, people, blues in it out. And then of course we got the country and general admission free, right? We got a parking fee, $10 for parking. So if you want to get here, eat free, you take the train, you get off. We got a shuttle running every 30 minutes lined up with the train back and forth all the way to midnight. So you can get back to your train and get home. Don't have to worry about getting in the car. There you go. Safest way to do that. Now, how did this all get started? Right, right here. Well, actually we started, uh, eight years ago, we actually did this, the very first one on the Railroad Avenue in Peekskill, right by the train station. Of course, we blew up. It was very successful. So we had to move it to a bigger venue. And then also we opened this up the next year. So we started over here at the factory and it all starts at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon. More than 10 hours of live music, 10 hours of live music food. We got food concepts all over the place, barbecue, slow smoked meats, and we're gonna be pizza talking about all of that and how you can get involved, how you can get VIP tickets and all of that and some new things that they have planned here at the brewery for this year. We are now sending it over to meteorologist Matt Hammer. Let's keep the fun going. But with just some different vibes this morning, he's in peak seal. Previewing tomorrow's Nashville Music Festival. It's going to be good music, good food, good weather, good times. Matt and I mean, I have brewery vibes here too, but we'll get to that a little bit later on this morning. Joining me right now is the headliner of the 2024 Nash Skill Music Festival right here at River Outpost, brewing at the Factoria in Peaks Skill. No stranger to news 12 Alex Cano. Thanks for being with us this morning. Thanks for having me. And you know what, earlier in this week we were talking though. You were a little under the weather last weekend feeling right now. And how does it feel to be headlining this event that you've played at before? Yeah, it's, it's really exciting. We love this festival. It's a lot of good people put this on and uh last year was a really exciting time and we can't wait for this one. It talk to me a little bit about your style of show for people that don't know. We're actually seeing some video now from last year. Sure. We are uh a little bit more on the rock and roll side as you can see there. Um, but it's, uh it's kind of a country rock Americana fusion. I'd say we always describe it as if you were to take Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters and mix it with Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton and you know yourself, someone, a local guy here from the Hudson Valley playing all over the place. But also there's so many great acts too. Obviously, you're headlining one of the best talents here. But I mean, there's so many great artists that are coming to play this tomorrow too. Oh, absolutely. Yeah, the, the Hudson Valley has become such a vibrant music scene and we're just excited to be a part of it, but a lot of great artists and a lot of wonderful people. A little more summer. Meteorologist, Matt Hammer is in peaks skill with good vibes on this Friday too. He's at the Nash K festival or what will soon be tomorrow. Matt. I mean, it feels like the party is getting started already. I mean, we had headliner Alex Cano here a short time ago and joining me right now is actually the head brewer here. Outpost brewing at The Factor where this is all happening tomorrow starting at two o'clock, Marcus L thanks for joining us this morning and we've been talking about how this is the last final weekend of summer and how we have this outdoor music festival, but we are heading into the fall season. So for those people who wanna maybe enjoy an adult beverage responsibly for the fall season, you have that as well. Right. Talk to me a little bit about the new offerings that people can get here starting tomorrow. Certainly. Yeah. So, yeah, it's my favorite time of year. Uh My two favorite beer styles are coming out Oktoberfest, um Pumpkin beer. We've got both of those here. Uh Oktoberfest is gonna be called River Out Prost. Um And it's a 5.2% alcohol. It's gonna be a nice easy drinker. Um And then our pumpkin beer is going to be uh the octo pumpkin. Um and it's 6.2 classic pumpkin beer with cinnamon ginger nutmeg and clove all the stuff people would expect in a, in a good pumpkin beer. I saw your eyes light up when you, when you describe that one, how long have you been here? I've been here since January. Um, before that I was at some other breweries. Um And since January I've been having, talk to me a little bit about the brewery in general. What makes it so special here in P school? Um It's just a really cool place. Um We've got so many things going on here. We've got the water, the marina, we've got, uh, uh the bar, we've got uh shows outside. So it's just been real fun and great indoor space too as we get into those colder months as well. You can still come down and enjoy what you have to offer. Thanks for joining us this morning.
