Well, we made it to Friday. Time for Main Street, Connecticut, a chance to showcase our local towns and cities and all they have to offer this morning our Mark Sudall is in Norwalk. He is at Wave Hill Breads, Mark. Hey Becky, yeah, Wave Hill Breads has quite a history here in Norwalk. They started, uh, with their actual bakery on High Street back in 2011. They opened up this location just a year ago. We are on Route one in Norwalk across from the post office in Monroe Muffler. Tim Topi is the man behind it all, came over here from, uh, Italy in 2013 and, uh, just has been baking up some. Deliciousness. What makes your products different from others? What makes because everything you get in our store is done very, very traditional old school, plain, simple, and good and healthy healthy for us, and from the grains we've been like since 2005 when we started in Wilton then 2013 moved it in 30 High Street. We have kept the tradition of grinding organic grains that we buy locally from New York, Connecticut, and all of those are fermented or they have pre-fermented polish. We got 24 hours or the salmiche, this beautiful meche here, it's fermented for 3 days. So tell us about. The local farms here that you saw with all this beautiful farms that we have here, you've got Highridge right in correct? So we buy and sell for them, so it's like old school. Oh wow, with all this with Aallo we buy the. Produce from them and we use it for our for our bakeries, sandwiches and stuff from Woodland we get the peaches that we get to taste a very nice uh pastry with fresh peaches from nodes we get the we get the bacon and uh they're like family so. Can talk here as Kenny walks with me and hopefully he doesn't trip. uh, so aside from the breads, I mean you have these amazing pastries correct and all those pastries that you see here are done 100% from start to finish here. In 239 West for A Norwalk, and uh all the jams, the peaches are all nice and fresh that we prep and bake here on spa daily. And let's not forget as we move down the line here, the sandwiches I've had one of these sandwiches before and they are amazing. what what makes our sandwiches, uh, unique it's, uh, the cold cuts are selected from Italy. And the bread is baked on the side which are baking the bread right now at the moment so we can see that and all the veggies that you see, the vegetarian, all the veggies that we get from the farmers, producers, local producers, we roast them daily here. Before you that you you have amazing, amazing coffee. We have, we have the amazing cappuccino that we have here and one for me too please thank you. I need the one on and uh what time did you get up? 4 o'clock this morning. I tell everybody, tell them when I go to sleep. He never sleeps this guy. He's working very little, but the, the good coffee helps me and uh so the coffee, it's uh it's a very, it's, it's very unique brand. It's called Truillo. It's uh it's start to expand. In uh in USA and we are one of the few first ones, uh, that, uh, we're using to right we'll load up with a couple of loaves of bread here. I think we're trying to get the boss down here to get something for the crew. I mean this is amazing. Oh, it's fantastic, Mark, good hardworking group there. Thanks so much.

Mark Sudall is at the Norwalk Inn, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Mark, oh, didn't mean to interrupt your nap there, Mark. Oh, hey Beck house. Trying to catch a couple winks here. Those, uh, carbs at Weave Hill breads really put me out here, man. Uh, yeah, Norwalk in. I'll tell you what, this place has been around a long time celebrating 40 years, and, uh, they've done so much for the community. Uh, good morning. There's Tia Donna Bo. Thank you so much for being with us this morning. Uh, so you're celebrating 40 years next month, um. And it's been in the family now the whole time. Tell us about Chris. Chris andrios, yes, so Chris Sanrios was the original owner of this hotel, and his family still owns the hotel. He founded the Norwalk Inn in 1985 after he bought it out. It used to be called the Motor Inn. And the business was struggling, but Chris came in, saved the day, turned it around, and made the Norwalk Inn one of the most iconic staple pieces of Norwalk. Many kids have their school dances here. Weddings take place here. Overseas businesses come here to do business with us, stay here when storms happen, people come here to stay. We help everybody and we're a family owned business. Lisa Maria Hendrinos are the current owners, the daughters of Chris and you also have the restaurant, the restaurant, the conference rooms. We've done renovations on the 3rd floor, the guest house, which used to be it is on the. Registry of Historic Places. It used to be owned by multiple different families before we got it and renovated it and started renovating it in 2010, completed it by 2013, and it now boasts 11 rooms, suites, apartment style like rooms, one bedrooms. And what makes people come back here is the sense of community that Chris Hendrios and his family have fostered within Norwalk. It's a staple piece. Everybody here knows this area. Everybody here knows this hotel, and I'm sure if you ask someone from Norwalk about the Norwalk Inn, they would know where to point, what direction it's in. It's near the interstates, and like I said, I think at least. Almost everyone in Norwalk has some kind of memory with the Norwalk Inn, whether it be a school dance, a wedding, a conference, even like I said, overseas businesses that come here from Germany, China, South America to do. Business in our conference centers to have people stay here and it's truly just created a sense of community due to the exceptional service by the people who work here and the family themselves, how kind they are caring, and the community that they want to foster and the food is great too, the food is great too. Don't thank you so much for being with us this morning and you know when we came in, I mean the parking lot was packed with cars here. Uh, Becky, I'm gonna just try to catch a couple more winks here before I head back to the shop if you don't. Yeah, Tia Don has done such a good job, yeah, you can, you can take a break.
