Main Street in Spotswood between Victoria Avenue and Kopak Way reopened soon after crews repaired a water main break early this morning.
The repair, which involved fixing an 8-inch pipe by clamping it shut, was completed by 7 a.m., following an overnight rupture.
The closure was necessitated by the water main break and the resulting icing conditions, which were treated with salt by DPW crews.
Repairs crews anticipate more breaks in the region as temperatures continue to fluctuate and rise after last week's bitter cold.
