The water main break that began Friday afternoon near the location of the Ryder Cup in Farmingdale was fixed on Saturday.
The break occurred at the intersection of Quaker Meeting House Road, Thomas Powell Boulevard and Round Swamp Road.
Residents on Thomas Powell Boulevard had no water Friday night.
“It’s an emergency, something happens, and we have to bear with it. That’s all we can do," Skip Bosco said.
Some neighbors said they saw trucks and forklifts during the week, in the same spot as the water main break.
“I have a feeling that all the heavy equipment had something to do with this," said Frank Sterber, who lives nearby.
“It could be because of vibration…but I can’t definitively say at this point,” said John Falbo, supervisor of the Village of Farmingdale Water Department.
