A water main break flooded multiple homes on E 194th Street and Mayflower Avenue.

One resident told News 12 he heard what sounded like a shower in his basement, though he does not have a shower.

He went downstairs to find water flooded several feet in his basement, damaging all his belongings.

Firefighters and members from NYC Environmental Protection are currently on scene assessing the damage.
