A large, alleged melee inside the Dunkin’ in Washingtonville last week appears to have prompted a decision to close the store’s lobby during after-school hours.
A sign on the door of the Main Street location says the lobby will close weekdays after 2 p.m. when school is in session while it reviews its code of conduct for students entering the store.
The location is walking distance from Washingtonville High School.
News 12 was alerted to a video shared on social media Friday, allegedly showing a group of people inside involved in a physical fight and one person on the floor.
News 12 reached out to Dunkin’ and the store’s management but has not heard back. Washingtonville police have also not returned News 12's calls.
The school district had no comment.
