        Warmer weather arrives to kick off the weekend on Long Island.

        You'll notice more clouds around on Sunday, with highs near 70 degrees. There is the chance for a few light showers midday and at night. Most of the time, it will be dry.

        Saturday will be beautiful with sunshine and highs in the low- to mid-70s.
        You'll notice more clouds around on Sunday, with highs near 70 degrees. There is the chance for a few light showers midday and at night. Most of the time, it will be dry.
        Once showers end Monday morning, the weather turns colder with a fall chill and sunshine for much of next week.
        Be sure to check the western sky low on the horizon this week for Comet C/2023 A3. We'll be tracking the chance to see it through early next week.
        FORECAST:
        TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows near 54 degrees. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 7:01 a.m.
        SATURDAY: Sunny and warmer with highs near 75 degrees. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Clear at night with lows near 50 degrees.
        SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Nice with highs near 70 degrees. Chance for a few light showers midday. Mostly cloudy in the evening and at night with the chance of some showers. Lows near 50 degrees.
        MONDAY: Partly sunny and cooler. Slight chance for a sprinkle or shower early in the day. Highs near 67 degrees. Lows near 44 degrees.
        TUESDAY: Mostly sunny, breezy and chilly with highs near 59 degrees. Lows near 42 degrees.
