Warmer temperatures stick around this week, and now there is a chance to see some rain Wednesday into early Thursday.
High pressure is anchored right above us and currently that is keeping the dry sunny weather around.
Meanwhile, a weak area of low pressure is producing some rain off the Carolina coast. This area of low pressure will slowly move north and past Connecticut by Thursday. It will stay far offshore but will come close enough that we will see clouds and some scattered rain showers starting Tuesday night.
Temperatures with the onshore winds tomorrow will be a few degrees cooler and with rain chances, too - Wednesday as well.
After the rain threat exits Thursday, temperatures will warm right back up. Expect to see a bit more of summer-like weather before the week is out. Cooler and drier conditions will settle in for next weekend.
