The sun is back this afternoon and coming with it is warm weather in the upper 70s with a risk for rapid fire spread.
Although today won't break records (unlike Thursday's 83, which was the hottest Halloween on record for Newark), it'll still be warm and breezy.
This weekend will be cooler with highs near 60 and lows near 40. Expect plenty of sunshine this weekend and another warm up next week. We could hit 80 again by next Wednesday.
TONIGHT: Clear and cool with lows near 50. Breezy winds out of the NW at 10-20 mph.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and cooler. Highs will be near 60 degrees. Lows near 40.
SUNDAY: Sunshine with a few clouds. Slightly cooler but still nice. Highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the middle 40s.
MONDAY: More clouds and very pleasant. Highs in the mid 60s.
TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: Very warm with highs in the upper 70s or near 80. The record on Tuesday is 79 (2022) and the record Wednesday is 80 (1948).
