Thank you, Suffolk. You've given me a large mandate tonight. You've trusted and we're going to use that mandate to move this county forward. But before I even do that, thank you. Not only Suffolk but so many people, I want to start with the one person that made this possible. And that's my wife Diane. Yeah, I have so many people to thank. I will be spending the next four years. Thanking all of you. Thanking my colleague, Angie Carpenter, a great supervisor. We are gonna work together. We're going to govern together. Our state chairman. Thank you, our former congressman, my friend Lee Zeldin, our district attorney, all of law enforcement. I received all the endorsements, all of law enforcement. They help us send a message, but so did all the county workers aim. We had so many people help out on this campaign. Obviously, Jesse and Mike, great leaders in their party. Thank you so much. We had the gals in the office, Renee Maureen. Where are you gals? We had Brendan Sweeney, believe it or not, our campaign manager. So then there we go. We have Kevin Malloy, our treasurer, God bless you. He kept all the money rolling. Come on down. We have John Kennedy, our Comptroller, our presiding officer, we increased our majority in the legislature. We have over 12, possibly 13 legislators. What it's done? We've sent the message, we've painted this county red, but through it all, through it all, there are many signs being held up tonight. There are many law signs but the one sign that someone else once held up that I saw puts a sign that says bring us together. And as your county executive elect, I intend to bring all of Suffolk together for a common sense agenda that moves us forward, that keeps our taxes low, that keeps us affordable. That makes sure that we're safer, that our law enforcement has the tools they need to do the job. Thank you. This has been a great campaign and one of the greatest things in this campaign is meeting all of you and I know you all and I hear you all and most importantly, I need you all because we all need to be together to move this county forward to change what is happening now for the better. So together we will govern together and I will depend on all of you. Thank you for your support. God bless you. You have given us a mandate. And tonight, let me tell you, we crushed it, baby. Very different scene for Democrats at their headquarters in Holtsville. Let's check in with Tama Ponton. That's exactly right. Rich and he brought that different mood to the podium saying this night did not go the way that they planned. Dave colon speaking just ahead of Ed Roma earlier tonight. And while he was very strong and almost positive as he conceded to Roma, the people in this, I saw some people crying, I saw people hugging each other. Do not let this music behind me fool you. The mood in this room is not celebratory. Take a listen to a little bit of what cologne had to say. I had a chance to leave, call my my opponent and remain and congratulate him on his victory. And I wish him well as the next Suffolk County executive, his success will be our success in self accounting. So let's all work together because at the end of the day, local government isn't about left or right. It's about how do we move our region forward. It's about how do we work together to solve the issues that we're facing a lot of discussion here tonight about working together to move Suffolk County forward. The one time that Dave Coon got choked up a lot on that stage is when he spoke about his family and all the work that they had done. And the volunteers with this campaign.

The people get to choose. We all took part in that today. And I want to thank the people of Suffolk County because for the last year, I've had a chance to visit with you, your families from one end of this county, the other north shore to South Shore, east to west and hear your stories and your ideas and the issues you're facing. And I am so proud of the ticket we put together and I am proud of the ideas we put together. We put together a Suffolk forward agenda. It was more than 40 pages long. I encourage you. It's late tonight and they don't really tell you fall right asleep. But, but, but seriously, we put together an agenda because we believe that we can solve the issues of Suffolk County issues of safety, affordability opportunity. And we're not going to get a chance to work on that agenda right now, but I do suggest it to others. I had a chance to leave a call, my my opponent and remain and congratulate him on his victory and I wish him well as the next Suffolk County executive, here's success will be our success in s accounting. So let's all work together because at the end of the day, local government isn't about left or right. It's about how do we move our region forward. It's about how do we work together to solve the issues that we're facing. But I wanna, I wanna celebrate a little bit the campaign that we built here together. We knocked on over 200,000 doors. We, we made nearly a million voter contacts we put out as I mentioned, 40 pages of policies. None of that gets accomplished alone. We've had an amazing team with countless people involved. And so let me just thank a few of those, some of many of them who are in the room tonight. I want to thank my running mates for the legislature, the town council, the supervisors, many of you out there tonight. Congratulations on a great job building. We ran a unified campaign, a coordinator campaign and I am honored to have been on the ticket with all of you to the Democratic Party here in Suffolk County. Thank you all for working hand in hand with me over this last year as we built this campaign, your energy enthusiasm, and most importantly, your idealism are what we need going forward to. Rich. Schafer, our chairman led us to, to put together a great team to work hard to get out there and share that our vision with the people of Suffolk County. And I want to particularly congratulate team Schafer on a clean sweep in Babylon tonight to our Suffolk County staff, Keith Ali Amanda. Thank you for all that you do to work together for all of us as candidates to our town chairs and our committee people. You are the heartbeat of democracy. Keep beating, keep going. I wanna thank our current county executive, Steve Malone. I want to thank him for his mentorship, for his encouragement, for his help and support. And most importantly, I want to thank him for 12 incredible years of being our county executive. He has led the way to fight corruption. He has helped government improve the lives of people, our taxpayers, our businesses, our families, and I want to see his legacy preserved and protected and it's up to all of us to work with the newest county executive to do just that to the thousands of people who volunteered for our campaign who contributed to this campaign intruded your time and your resources. Thank you. You, I can't even express how much it means to me. I want to particularly thank our friends and organized labor who are here, who have been with me knocking on doors, activating members. Thank you to them, to my dear friend John Durso and the Long Island Federation of Labor, the painters and the allied trains of DC nine. The health care workers of 1199 and 32 bjseiu. Yeah, the front line workers of Ru Ds U 338 and 1102, the municipal workers of CS E A, the Iron Workers of 361. And to our host here tonight, the IBW 1049 to the community leaders, the churches and synagogues and mosques, the civic associations, nonprofits, small businesses and more who hosted me, allowed me to meet with you to talk, take time to talk about what we need to do here in Suffolk County.
