Rain has returned to the Hudson Valley today, forcing us all to grab those umbrellas after they were put away for a few days.
The rain showers will be around through the next several days, into Saturday. But while that is the bad news, the good news is that there won't be hour after hour of continuous rain showers coming down.
There will be sunny breaks from time to time, especially Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Along the way, the temperatures will be a touch cool at first, but with any sunny breaks, we can expect a warmer feeling.
Depending on the computer forecast model, rainfall amounts could range from around half an inch to close to 2 inches.
The rain will wrap up Saturday evening, as this slow-moving system pulls away from the region. Sunday will be the drier and brighter of the two weekend days.
There are no alerts in effect from the National Weather Service pertaining to the rain, as flooding is not anticipated.
