16h agoUnited Illuminating is seeking a $105 million rate increase, which would translate to a 9.3% hike in customers' bills.
The request comes just a year after the company received a revenue increase, albeit not as much as it had sought.
Connecticut Attorney General William Tong vowed to oppose the latest request. "This rate hike would unfairly burden Connecticut families and businesses already struggling with high energy costs," Tong said.
