        Two separate car crashes Wednesday required first responders to free trapped drivers from the wreckage.
        In Orange, a car and a tractor-trailer collided on Boston Post Road, prompting fire officials to respond to the scene and work to free the driver of the car.
        Fortunately, the driver of the car was not hurt in the accident, despite significant damage to both vehicles.
        In a separate incident, a nasty crash occurred in Shelton at 7 a.m. Wednesday near River Road and Mount Pleasant Street, where firefighters had to cut one driver out of a crushed car. The driver’s condition is unknown.
