A massive fire at an 8-story apartment building in Claremont has left two firefighters injured.

Dozens of first responders were called to a sixth-floor apartment on Sheridan Avenue a little before noon Sunday.

Crews encountered heavy clutter that delayed their operation. FDNY officials say due to the heavy smoke and clutter, the fire intensified rising to three alarms.

About 200 first responders were on the scene. The two firefighters hurt were treated for minor injuries.
