A tractor-trailer hauling vegetables caught fire on Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County Wednesday afternoon, temporarily closing a portion of the highway.
New Jersey State Police say the fire started around 12:40 p.m. in Union Township. It was not clear how the fire started, but no injuries were reported.
As of 4:48 p.m., the New Jersey Department of Transportation says that two right lanes west of Exit 13 are closed while cleanup takes place.
Traffic on the westbound side of the highway was also slow due to rubbernecking.
