A domestic violence call turned deadly in Trenton early Sunday morning.

Police say 36-year-old Lamont Truitt is charged with first-degree murder after an argument with his girlfriend, 32-year-old Alyssia Murphy, on Oakland Street.

Murphy was inside a car with a friend when Truitt opened fire, hitting both people.

Truitt then stole the car and drove off with Murphy inside. Police say he dumped the car in Pennsylvania and later turned himself in.
