'Treasure hunt for book lovers.' Westport Library holds annual spring book sale

There are thousands of books available for purchase in more than 50 categories at the library. People can also buy DVDs, CDs, vinyl records and artwork.

The Westport Library is holding their annual spring book sale this weekend.
There are thousands of books available for purchase in more than 50 categories at the library.
People can also buy DVDs, CDs, vinyl records and artwork.
Proceeds from the event will benefit library programming and help the library employ people with disabilities at the Westport Book Shop.
Organizers describe the sale as a treasure hunt for book lovers.
"We have everything anyone is interested in so the variety that we have is so large, especially in our children's books are amazing. And I think looking for those treasures that people really love. They don't know what they are going to find and that's what makes it really special," says Lisa Hopper.
The sale hours are as followed:
  • Friday, May 16: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 17: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 18: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Almost everything half-price)
  • Monday, May 19: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Shoppers can fill a logo bag for $10 per bag, their own equivalent-sized bag for $8 or buy individual books at half-price)
