Three adults and several animals are displaced after early morning fire on Crescent Place in Ho-Ho-Kus.

According to Ho-Ho-Kus police Captain Greg McBain the residents escaped on their own and were able to get their pets out as well.

Captain McBain says a transformer blew across the street from the home but in the process, started the fire in the basement of only this house.

He says they'll work with PSE&G to try and determine if the transformer failing was storm related.
