According to officials, there is an email scam going around that could put personal information at risk.
Officials say the email looks like it is sent from the town with the address DOTEHamptonNY@USA.com containing attachments.
Anyone who receives an email from this address is instructed to delete it.
Officials say it is an attempt to steal information and infect devices with malware and viruses.
