All students at Torrington middle and high school were dismissed late Wednesday morning because of police activity.

The Torrington Board of Education said there was a situation at the middle school and high school campus that required police involvement.

"Out of an abundance of caution and in collaboration with the Torrington Police Department, all students and staff at the MS/HS campus are being dismissed at this time. No other schools are affected," the board said in a statement. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
