On the eve of winter solstice, New Jersey residents were in for a wintry mix.
Drivers experienced slippery roadways, causing them to slow down.
There was also more traffic due to the upcoming Christmas holiday on Wednesday.
News 12 spoke with drivers who said they'd like other drivers to practice more caution.
One driver said, "It's bad cars are slipping."
Some can handle it better than others.
Another driver said, "I drive a Honda, and any time I drive in the snow, it can barely turn."
News 12 spoke with Sean Sasso, who was headed home to Westchester, New York from Atlantic City.
Sasso said the roads weren't too bad heading north on Friday.
"If drivers are willing to take it a little slower than usual and be a little patient, I think everyone should get home OK," he said.
