New Rochelle police officials say there were four break-ins that targeted Honda CR-V's in New Rochelle.
They say the break-ins occurred between Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Two of the incidents occurred on Drake Avenue and John Street.
The third occurred farther down on Drake Avenue, closer to Pelham Road.
The fourth break-in, according to officials, was reported on Centre Avenue.
Police say the passenger door windows on all four cars were smashed open to gain entry.
They say the driver's seat air bags on all four cars were stolen.
It is unknown at this time if other items were stolen out of the vehicles.
News 12 spoke with one of the car owners, who had woken up for work to find glass shattered on the floor of his passenger door.
He, alongside other people News 12 spoke with, say New Rochelle is not what it used to be.
"Within the past year or so, there's been a lot of break ins...I mean my son's car got broken into. I've heard of a few people that their cars have gotten broken into..."said Martha Levine.
Officials with the New Rochelle Police Department recommended for anyone who witnesses suspicious people looking into cars to contact the police.
