11ds agoHere’s what you need to know:
- It's a cool and calm start to the day with a few passing clouds. Temperatures are in the low to mid 60s.
- Today will be another delightful day with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in the upper 70s.
- The dry stretch continues through Thursday with Fall-like temperatures in the 70s, near 80.
- An approaching cold front will bring a chance of showers and storms Thursday night into Friday. A secondary front will move into our area on Saturday bringing chances of showers and storms. It's still too soon to tell if there's a risk of severe weather or flooding risk. Stay tuned for updates!
- We're still under abnormally dry to moderate drought over parts of the city. If this current drought continues through the Fall season, this will impact the foliage vibrant colors and shorten the foliage season. We'll continue to monitor drought conditions over the next few weeks and keep you up to date.
- Meteorological Fall officially started yesterday on September 1st. It is used for data/record keeping for three consecutive months during the Fall season (Sept. 1st through Nov. 30). Astronomical Fall is still 20 days away on Sept. 22, 2025 at 2:19 p.m. The Autumnal Equinox is based on the earth's orbit, when we expect nearly equal parts of daylight and darkness.
- TRACKING THE TROPICS: There's a tropical disturbance off the coast of Africa that has a medium chance of development in the Atlantic by the end of this week. Stay tuned for updates!
